Eight Associates assessed Royal Mail Hub gets nominated for EG Green Award

Eight Associates were the BREEAM Assessors for the fantastic Royal Mail Hub and Distribution Centre based in Northampton, the project has been shortlisted in the EG Green Awards 'Industrial Development of the Year' award.

The new 212,846 sq ft mail hub and distribution centre that has been built by ProLogis in conjunction with Aviva Investors for Royal Mail at Swan Valley resulted in a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and an A rated EPC.

BREEAM AP status enhances our standing as leading professionals specialising in sustainability and environmental design, The introduction of the BREEAM AP qualification is a significant step forward for the sustainable buildings movement.

Up to two credits are available under BREEAM 2008 for the comprehensive use of a BREEAM AP throughout a project.

Eight Associates worked with Fiona Stephenson and her team to produce the Oak Tree Lying in State exhibit in the Sustainable Garden category at the Hampton Court Flower Show, the garden won the prestigious Gold Award and we are proud to have been involved with the project.

Breakfast Seminars

Throughout June we will be holding a series of Breakfast seminars, aimed at explaining the process of sustainable design and the role of regulation and environmental assessments. These concise and clear sessions will help you keep up with a rapidly changing sector and enable you to make informed decisions about the projects you are working on now and in the future.

The seminars will begin at 8:30am (registration at 8:15am) and finish at 10:00am after a Q&A session. Tea, coffee and pastries will be provided. Each seminar costs £35 (+VAT).

Success at Ecobuild for Eight Associates

Thanks to all our old and new friends that came to visit us at Ecobuild - we had a great time and hope you did too. Attracting over 34500 visitors over three days the event has been hailed as the biggest event in the world dedicated to sustainable design, construction and built environment.

The success of the event shows how even in these economic times sustainability issues are still high on the agenda.
